Finished Custom Doll! Steampunk Lolita Doll

I started this doll around six months ago, and I finally got around to finishing it! I think she turned out super cute, and I hope you enjoy the finished result. This post will mostly be photos of the finished doll and a bit of explanation. For this doll, I decided to go with a steampunk lolita theme for the outfit. I made all the clothes, including the shoes, and painted her face myself.

The image below is the doll before customizing. She is supposed to be character from the descendants movies, Uma. I got my doll second hand so she was missing a few pieces, the paint was wearing off her hands, and she was just more beat up. I didn't take a photo though, so this will have to do.

I love how this doll's hands are posed. They have goves sculpted on, and so I repainted them black.

I painted the face using acrylic paint. I think the small brown dots I added make her look more realistic and life like. I might add false lashes to her eyes sometime. I love the face sculpt of this doll. She has a wider nose which you don't usually see on dolls and her eyes aren't that defined so you can play with eye shapes.

Although I didn't make her hair, I added the braid around the side of her head.

The shoes are made of cardstock paper and clay. I'm really happy with how these turned out because I find doll shoes really hard to make. The socks are also super adorable!

The outfit was kind of anoying to make because I don't have any other dolls this size and I couldn't find any patterns online. It was still fun to make though, the outfit is my favorite part to make and this one turned out especially well.

Thank you so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed! I'm really proud of this doll.
