Autumn Graphic Novels
Fall is by far my favorite season, so I have been excited to release the third part of my series recomending graphic novels for each season since the begining. Be sure to check out the spring and summer lists if you haven't yet. I love everything about autumn, from the weather to, of course, Halloween. It was really hard to choose which books to include, considering how many witchy, autumnal graphic novels I have read and loved, but I eventually settled of these four books that I hope you love as much as me.
Hooky by Miriam Bonastre Tur
When twins Dani and Dorian miss the bus for a secret magic school, they seek an apprenticeship elsewhere, but end up caught in the war between witches and non magical people. With a team of friends by their side, is there a chance of healing the kingdom? This is one of my all time favorite series, I love the characters and art, especially the outfits.
Pumpkinheads by Rainbow Rowell and Faith Erin Hicks
Deja and Josiah have spent every fall together working at the local pumpkin patch since high school started, but they are finally seniors, and this is their day together. Deja wants to make the last night special, and make sure Josiah finally talks to the girl he's been pining over for years. This book is the definition of fall, and I love how meaningful the story feels even though it is very everyday things. If you like this book, definitly check out Friends With Boys and One Year at Ellsmere, also fall books by Faith Erin Hicks.
Razzmatazz, a fairy, and Bon, a beast, both find a human baby in the woods and want to raise it themselves. When they can't agree who takes care of them, they decide to raise the child together, but neither of them are happy about it. As time goes on, their feelings towards eachother change, but could everything be ruined by Razzmatazz's secret? This books is super adorable and sweet, and the warm fall colors and falling leaves make it a perfect Autumn read.
Marjorie Glatt, a thirteen year old girl, is doing everything she can to keep her family's laundromat running. Wendell, a ghost, unintentionally sabotages Marjories efforts, but the two might have more in common then they think. This book has beautiful artwork, relatable characters, and is absolutly perfect for Halloween.
Thank you for reading, I put a lot of thought into which books to include! If you have another favorite fall read, put it in the comments below, or put a graphic novel to include in my winter list. Be sure to check back in a couple months for the final part the series!
