Fuse Bead Christmas Ornaments

Fuse beads (also known as perler beads) are a really good way to make ornamants for christmas trees. I made a few patterns you can use, you can also look up pictures for tons more ideas and patterns. To use these pictures you place beads on your base plate the same way as the beads are placed in the picture. All my patterns are pretty small because I do not feel like taking forever to make a bigger one. All of my patterns are made on the regular square grid base plates.

First is a music note. You can use any color you want for it.

The next one is a mailbox. It is super adorable and very small. You could change the colors, maybe a gray mailbox or any color really. A lot of color combinations would be cute.

Cat wearing a santa hat. I love how the hat is only on one ear. You can change the color and add markings to your cat. You could also try to make it into a different animal.

This unicorn is a square so they looks kind of funny. I think its cute. My favorite part is how the unicorns mane has two colors. It also makes it fun to choose the color combinations.

Last but not least, an egg. Don't underestimate food ornaments!

Now to actually turn your creations into ornaments. Start be ironing them. You should leave a bead out, or leave holes in the beads when your ironing. I learned the hard way not to iron the holes to small, but make sure they are still going to be secure. Take your thread, or an ornament hook and pull it through a hole. I used a needle to help pull it through and also pliers to pull the needle through.
If you put a hook through then close it up and hang on the tree. If you used thread, tie a loop so you can hang the ornament.

Hope this gives you some good ideas for your tree. You can also look up more picture of fuse bead patterns.
