DIY Doll Belt made from Washi Tape

I always love washi tape because of all the fun colors and patterns. There are a lot of creative and unexpected uses for washi tape. I made a doll belt using it. This would work for small dolls like fashion dolls and other small dolls, unless you are using especially wide washi tape. Since it is adjustable, you can use the same belt on multiple types of dolls. This is a very fast project so you could make it on short notice to match a new outfit. The only supplies you need are washi tape, jump rings and scissors. You also need your doll on hand. Depening on how big your washi tape is you may want different size jump rings.

Choose your washi tape. Tear a peice off that is longer than you need to go around your dolls waist.
Fold the washi tape in half with the sticky sides facing each other. Press them together for most of the way down the tape. The only part that should still be sticky is the end you did not press together.
Go to the end that is not folded. Cut half of the tape off so everything lays flat and is the same width.
Time to get your jump rings! Take two jumprings. Slide them onto the washi tape through the end that is not sticky. Slide up to the sticky part.
Fold the tape over and press it down to secure the jump rings and to make the whole thing not sticky.
Put the belt on your doll. It is probably much longer than needed.
Cut the end of the belt into a point like this. It should be a little longer than the waist.

The belt is finished. Now you might want to make one with every color of washi tape you have! Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy this project.
