Barbie Pajama Bottoms (w/ pattern!)

I have a pattern for both pajama pants and shorts. It is really cute to use flannel for these and makes it more cozy looking. You can use other fabrics if you want, but I think flannel is best. In the instructions, I am making the shorts, but the directions are the same for both the pants and shorts. Read through all the directions before starting. Here is the pattern to print:

Start by cutting out your patterns. Choose which you want to make then cut the peices for that from your fabric. (I used the shorts pattern)

Hem the bottom edge of both peices. I forgot to take a picture.

Line up your two peices right sides together. Sew along this curve.

Open it up and fold over the top. Sew across this. This is the casing for the elastic.
Fold it again so the peices are right sides together. Sew the other curve.
Fold so it looks like there are two legs. Sew on the opening. Then you can turn the pants right side out.
Cut a peice of elastic about 3 1/2 inches. Put a safety pin on the end.
Cut small slits in the casing for the elastic on the shorts. Use the safety pin to pull the elastic through the shorts to make a waistband.
Sew the two ends of elastic together, then pull it back into the waist band.

Now your doll's pjs are finished! I hope you have lots of fun making these tiny clothes.
