How to Make 4 Types of Bookmarks
Bookmarks are very usefull to have around and you can make them easily and quickly. Here are four different designs you can make with materials you can get easily. They are all pretty versatile and the designs can be changed depending on what you like. And if you get someone a book as a gift, they will apreciate a cute bookmark to go with it!
The first bookmark is the bubble one. The supplies you need are cardstock, scissors, ruler (optional), and a colored pencil. The pencil should be in whatever color you want the bubbles, it does not have to be blue. If you blow bubbles outside, you will see they are lots of colors.
1. Cut your cardstock to the size you want the bookmark. Mine is actually a little wider than in this photograph. You could use a ruler to make strait lines.
2. Use your colored pencil to draw different size circles all over the bookmark.3. Lightly shade one side of a circle.4. Make a short curved line on the other side of the circle. You completed your first bubble!5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 on all the circles. If a circle is cut off, just do what would be showing. You might not add anything at all! This ruler bookmark has the actual size of inches and centimeters, so you can measure something as well as mark your place! I used the color brown because a lot of rulers are made of wood, but you could use whatever colors you want. The supplies you need are cardstock, scissors, a ruler, and colored pencils.
1. Cut your cardstock to the size you want the bookmark. You could use a ruler to make strait lines if you want.2. Line up your ruler with the bookmark. Use your colored pencil to make lines at each inch.3. If you want, you can also make shorter lines at the half inches.4. Write numbers at each mark. I used a different color then my inch marks, but you could decide either way.5. Line your ruler up on the other side and mark the centimeters. I did not mark the half centimeters on this side, they are so much smaller and there would be a lot more.6. Write numbers next to the centimeter marks. Now your ruler bookmark is complete!
1. Cut your cardstock to the size you want the bookmark. My bookmark is a little larger than the one in this photo. You could use a ruler to make strait lines if you want.2. Take your ruler and put it across your bookmark at an angle.3. Use your marker to trace the angle onto the bookmark.4. Repeat this several more times above it at the same angle.5. Color in your larger section. After that, the bookmark is finished and ready to mark your spot!
For this last bookmark the supplies you need are cardstock, scissors, a ruler and a marker. I used black and I think this would look best in black, but you could try a different color if you disagree.
1. Cut your cardstock to the size you want the bookmark. My bookmark is a little larger than the one in this photo. You could use a ruler to make strait lines if you want.2. Take your ruler and put it across your bookmark at an angle.3. Use your marker to trace the angle onto the bookmark.
4. Choose a pattern like you would for a zentangle. If you can't think of a pattern you like, try searching for zentangle patterns and looking at images. Fill in the space below your line with a pattern.
5. Trace the more lines at the same angle above the one you already drew. They can be at different spaces apart. Now you finished your bookmark!
I hope you enjoyed making these bookmarks. Try changing bits of the designs to make them suit you better. You could change the type of thing you draw with, the size, the color, and lots more.
