Miniature Drawstring Backpack

Bags are very usefull and everyone has them, so your dolls need them to, especially with school soon. This bag is pretty versatile and easy to make. You can change the size easily for different size dolls. It not only works as a backpack but as a shoulder bag. It also can actually fit things inside it and close!
Supplies:
fabric (you do not need much, so you can use scraps.)
scissors
pen or pencil (optional)
needle and thread
sewing machine (optional)
ribbon or string
safety pin
ruler (optional)

1. Cut two rectangles that are the same size from your fabric. Make them bigger than you want your finished bag to be.
2. Put your rectangles right sides together. Sew around three sides leave the top open.
4. Fold down the top. Sew all the way around.
5. Flip the back right side out.
Then cut little slits in both sides of the top hem.
6. Take string or ribbon and attatch one end to a safety pin. Put it through one of the holes and pull it all the way back out the same one.
7. Sew the ribbon down in the other corner at the length you want. Cut any ecxess. If you are using string you might want to tie a knot so it is easier to sew.
8. Repeat steps 6-7 for the other side of the bag.

Now your dolls have a cute bag to store everything they need! And it is so easy to make, you could make one to match every outfit. I am really exited that it can close, open and carry things.

    That's pretty neat. I made a few adult-sized drawstring backpacks this summer, which was pretty fun.

Summer Graphic Novels

Summer is here, so it's time for my summer graphic novel list! I decided to make this a series, so check out my  spring list  next. I compiled a list of eight graphic novels I really liked that are set during summer or even just give me summer vibes, so it's time to get that summer reading done! DIY Bookshelf Bookmark

Sorry I haven't posted for a few weeks, but I am trying to get back into it with this one. I actually took the photographs for this project months ago, in the fall, but never got around to writing the instructions.  I always like having bookmarks around to grab whenever I am reading something. These bookmarks are a quick, versatile project, as you can change the design to fit your style. I love the natural fall colors I used on mine, but you could completly change it by coloring it differently or using a thicker pen. Play around with different styles! You can also use the same drawing style to make a card or decoration instead of a bookmark. DIY Reversible Belt Pouch

  I'm really exited to share how to make these belt bags because they give such a clean, finished result but are actually really simple to make, if you already have some sewing skills. I made mine with ren faire in mind but I think they are super cute for any time if you use your favorite fabrics. Speaking of which, the bag is fully reversible so you have double the color options! You can also change the size and shape for different affects. Before you start making the project, I recomend reading through all the instructions so you know what to expect. I also recomend making use of your iron! First, cut out all the pieces. You need four pieces for the bag, two flap pieces, and a small rectangle for the belt loop.
