How to Make a Pop Up Card

I really like making cards myself  because it gives you something to do with your drawings, and you can make the card really perfect for what your using it for. Using thicker paper for this makes it feel more profesional and stay nicer. If your not that confident in your drawing skills, try tracing someone else's drawing and adding in your own details.

Step 1:

Draw a picture. It helps to use clear bold lines and stay simple. The drawing should be under 3 inches, as your actual card with have to be a few inches bigger than the drawing.

Step 2:

Cut around your drawing. You don't have to cut directly on the lines, just close to them.

Step 3:

Make a strip of paper wider than your drawing and fold it.

Step 4:

Cut a much smaller strip of paper.

Step 5:
Fold it like this.

Step 6:
Glue the bottom tab down to the bottom of the card.

Step 7:
Glue the top tab on the other section of the inside. Make sure the card can close.

Step 8:
Glue the drawing you cut out on the peice of paper sticking out. Make sure when you close it the drawing is not sticking out, and it does not get bent.
And your done!
