Fuse Bead Pineapple Earrings

Image
Fuse beads are a good craft for lots of ages and skills. You can make earrings and keychains out of them, and even hang them on a bulletin board. I designed this cute pinneaple pattern. You can follow the grid in the photos and use a square baseplate thingie for your beads. Fuse beads are pretty light, so you can make larger earrings out of them. I turned my pineapples into earrings, and included directions. There are two versions of the pinneapple, one is wearing sunglasses and one has eyes. You can just fill the eyes in with yellow if you don't like the look of the eyes. For the yellow, I mainly used one shade, but I put a few beads of a slightly different shade to make it look more like a pineapple. Pinneapple: 15 green beads 47 yellow beads 6 black beads 2 white beads Sunglasses Pinneapple: 15 green beads 44 yellow beads 11 black beads After you melt your fuse beads, you can turn them into earrings. Heres how: 1. If you have jump rings big enough, you can skip steps 1-3. Most...

Monster High Doll Nightgown (w/ pattern!)

Image
This nightgown is really cute and you could make the sleeves longer if you wanted. I used cotton fabric, but you could use flannel to make it cozier. Remember to check the nightgown frequntley on the doll, to make sure it fits. Its so anoying if you finish the whole thing, and then find out one part is to small. I suggest hand sewing for this, everything is so tiny and there are lots of curves.  Step 1: Print up the pattern. Here it is:  once you print it, trace the peices on fabric and cut them out. Step 2: Hem the sleeves. Step 3: Hem the neckline on the front piece. step 4: Hem the neckline on both back peices, and the straight edge. Step 5: Sew the front and back pieces together at the shoulders. Remember to do them right sides together. Step 6: Sew the sleeves on like this. Use pins to help keep it lined up. This is the hardest part to sew. Step 7: Fold over the back so it lines up with the front. Then sew the sleeves and the side seems on both sides. Stop a little...

Rainbow Loom Bracelet Double Cross Single

Image
I really love rainbow loom bracelets because they are fun and easy to make, and you can choose from tons of colors. Also, they are really comfortable and there is not a clasp so you can put them on easy. This type is my favorite, you can either choose two solid colors, or you can use black or white and make the other side rainbow.   To start, configure your loom like this. All the pegs should be lined up. Your only going to use these 4 pegs. This bracelet also works on a mini loom. Put your first color across diagonnally. It should be twisted in the middle. Do the same thing on the other two pegs with your second color. Place another band of pink on the first pegs. This time not twisted. Take the bottom pink band and pull it off the peg on both sides. Place a blue rubber band over the blue one. It should NOT be twisted. Pull the bottom blue band over the pegs. Place another band over the pink one, and pull the bottom band over. Keep repeating this alternating between adding a blue ...

Finished Doll Room Tour! (Loft Bed)

Image
I have been working on this doll room for about 2 1/2 weeks, and its finnally done! It turned out really good, I'm exited to show you now. The room is a bedroom. It has a loft bed and a little area to sit underneath. To get the scale, the actual room is 6 1/2 inches by a little more than 8 inches. You will see links throughout this post that go to other posts about this room. Here is a close up of the bed. I love the Pacman stuffy. You can learn I made bedding like this  here. Underneath the bed I have a  chair , and shelves. There is also a TV. The snake poster is cut from a calender. I really like the design of these shelves. Their made from popsicle sticks and hot glue. They have different decorations, like  books , a lamp and a  phone . The helicopter is a button I had. I also put some things for a dog. You can learn to make all of them  here.

DIY Miniature Phone/Tablet

Image
These phones are soo tiny! They are really easy to make with common supplies, and they are very customizable. You can use all the same methods to make a tablet or a phone. Once you make one, you will want to make a whole colection! Supplies: computer paper glue stick thin cardboard (you could also layer cardstock) markers scissors pencil (optional to mark where to cut) Start by cutting a piece of your cardboard to the size you want the phone to be. Also cut from paper a rectangle that is large enough to cover the whole cardboard piece. Then glue the cardboard to one side, like this. Make cuts around the corners to create tabs. Fold over the tabs and glue down. This picture is pretty blurry but you get the idea. Then fold the larger tab over. Trim so that it lines up with the back. Then glue down. Take a marker the color you want the case to be. Color the back that color. Color the sides to, and color a rim around the screen on front. You can also choose a different color for the ...
