Paper Dolls: Cozy Pajama Collection

Image
As promised, I have more clothes for the paper dolls. Be sure to check out  my earlier post , as it has another outfit and instructions for making your own paper dolls and clothes. This time, I made a bunch of cute pjs that are perfect for a slumber party. My personal favorite is the one piece, but there are tons to choose from!  Here is the printable page below. I suggest using a thicker type of paper like cardstock so the paper dolls last longer and look nicer. After you print it, color in the pieces you want to use.  Carefully cut them out outside the black lines. You can add tabs to the clothes to help them stay on the doll, or you can use a glue stick to attach them on permanently.

Paper Dolls

I designed a paper doll and I think she turned out super cute! In this post I am going to talk about how I made her and how you can make your own paper doll. I also have a printable version of my doll and clothes available here. I had a really fun time making this, so I hope you enjoy it to. Here is the downloadable version of my paper doll. You can print it out and color it yourself. Sorry she doesn't have a lot of clothes, but I am planning to put more up soon. You can also make your own clothes for her! For the dress, I forgot to draw on the folds in the dress. You can copy them on with a pen from the photo above. Now I will tell you about how I made the doll. You can use these instructions to make your own paper doll, or more clothes for mine! I started by drawing the person. Don't draw any clothes on them or details you want to change, for example the hair. Next, I traced the body onto another sheet of paper and drew the clothes over that to get the right size. Make sure...

Other Ever Afters

Image
Other Ever Afters: New Queer Fairy Tales by Melanie Gillman is a graphic novel with multiple short stories. They are based on fairy tales, but are changed to be more fresh and inclusive. I really like it when people take fairy tales and change them or make things that feel like fairy tales but aren't, so I enjoyed this book a lot. I loved the art so much, especially the vibrant colors and little flowers around the borders. From a warrior who has no one to serve, to a princess who has everything except the girl she wants, to a woman who falls in love with a fish, you're sure to enjoy all seven fairy tales of these beautiful fairy tales. DIY Miniature Presents

Image
These miniature presents are super fun to make and a great holiday decoration for a dollhouse! They would look perfect under a tiny tree. I thought it was really fun to choose different patterned paper for each gift. They are easy to use for different size dolls, and use pretty simple common supplies. The presents don't actually have gifts inside them, they are just for show. Also, a quick anouncment. I updated my December art prompt post to include the drawings I did for it, so go check that out! Supplies: cardboard paper (multiple colors/patterns is good. I used oragami paper.) glue stick scissors tape Start by cutting a piece of cardboard to the size and shape you want the gift to be. Cut out more rectangles from cardboard the same size as the first one. Use a glue stick to glue the cardboard pieces on top of each other. Stack them until it is the height you want the present to be. Choose the wrapping paper. I used oragami paper because there are lots of colors and patterns, an...

Twelfth grade night

Image
Twelfth Grade Night is a graphic novel by Molly Booth, Stephanie Kate Strohm and Jamie Green. The art in this book was so pretty. I love that they included elements of magic, but none of the main characters are magic and it does not impact the story much.  Vi switched schools to Arden High for the chance at a fresh start and no more uniform skirts, but doing so means she is seperated from her twin brother, Sebastion. When she arrives at Arden, she finds out it is not quite what she expected; magic fairies flutter down the halls among the human students. Vi quickly makes new friends, but things get complicated when she realizes she has a crush on her friend Orsino.
