DIY Doll Skirt For 7 inch Breyer Dolls

  Skirts are one of the simplest doll clothes to sew, but with such a tiny scale as these dolls have, it can still be tricky. This skirt is from a rectangle so the simple shape makes it easier. If your used to sewing small things, you can whip up a whole rainbow of skirts! You can pair it with lots of types of shirts and outfits, and also change the length. Have your doll on hand while you are sewing to make sure everything fits right. Start by chooseing your fabric, I am just using cotton fabric. Cut a rectangle from fabric that is 6 in by 3 in. You can adjust the 3 inch side to change the skirt's length, just keep your seem allowence in mind. Hem both of the long edges. Get your elastic. Cut a 2 1/2 inch peice.  Line up your elastic with the top long edge of the skirt. Stretch your elastic so it is the same length, then sew across.
